Where Beautiful Things Begin, Again.

Frank's Back in the Day
Frank’s began in the early 1940s in East Detroit as a grocery store, later transitioning to selling live plants and gardening products. William C. Boyd worked as a stock clerk at that first store, beginning at the age of 14 in 1943, and never looked back. Boyd ended his career where it started – at Frank’s, retiring as Senior V.P. of Merchandising and Advertising in 2000 after nearly 52 years – helping to grow Frank’s into a 300+ store chain covering some 23 states.
Frank's Today
After 21 years, Frank’s Garden Central is the exciting first new location of Detroit’s own iconic Frank’s Nursery and Crafts brand, brought back to life by the son of a longtime key executive of the “old” company. Frank’s Garden Central offers personalized landscaping services, a wide variety of locally grown plants, and a small but mighty boutique-style garden center bringing fresh beauty and function to your surroundings.
